Alright, so this whole project just started as a hmmm, I think I could do that moment. I just decided to dive headfirst into trying to build this app into “something”. I think we’ve all had the experience of coming up with some big new idea, but after you start doing the actual work to make it happen your motivation falls off a cliff. That’s usually how it goes for me, at least.
For this project that didn’t really happen though. My background in app development gave me the tools to never really reach a point where I was necessarily out of my depth from a technical aspect. It really just came down to putting in the time, learning new technologies (Like how in the hell you extract a speed value from a byte array sent by a bluetooth sensor???), and seeing where things went.
Now we are here. I have an application that “works”. It’s pretty rough around the edges, and there is still a lot of work to do, but 3 months later the motivation is still there to keep chipping away. I’m excited to see where things go from here.
